Garlic Ginger Broth

For Serving

  • cooked Jasmine rice
  • bok choy
  • sesame seeds, for garnished

Instructions

Make Honey Soy Glazed Chicken

  • Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and black pepper, then coat both sides with cornstarch.
  • In a pan, heat neutral oil over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the chicken and fry until both sides are golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add garlic, light soy sauce, honey, and oyster sauce. Mix until well combined and let it simmer for 30 seconds.
  • Add the chicken back to the pan, and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until sticky and caramelized. Make sure both sides of the chicken are coated with the glaze.

Make Garlic Ginger Broth

  • In a pot, add chicken broth, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and chicken bullion powder (optional).
  • Stir gently and let the broth gently simmer for 5-6 minutes.

Assemble the Dish

  • In a plate or bowl, add a scoop of rice, then pour the garlic ginger broth over the rice. Slice the chicken into strips, then top it on top of the rice, along with bok choy. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve warm and enjoy!
