Homestyle Taiwanese stir-fried cabbage with garlic is a quick and flavorful dish that combines tender cabbage and fragrant garlic. Ready in under 15 minutes!
¼cupdried shrimp, soaked and rehydrated (optional)
Instructions
Tear the cabbage leaves into large, bite-sized pieces. Then wash them thoroughly.
In a wok or large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic slices and stir-fry until fragrant.
Add the cabbage and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes. Add a splash of Taiwanese cooking wine (or Shaoxing wine) around the edge of the wok. Continue tossing until the cooking wine is dissolved.
Add salt, white pepper, and chicken bouillon powder. Taste and adjust seasoning. Then toss in rehydrated shrimp if using. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still crisp. Serve hot immediately and enjoy!
