This homemade wonton noodle soup is quick and easy to make. With just a few ingredients and simple steps, you can make this wonton noodle soup at home that is better than your regular takeout.
25-30wontons (homemade or store-bought), *See Notes*
handful of bok choy
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a pot, add chicken stock, chicken bouillon, soy sauce, salt, and white pepper. Stir to combine and bring it to a simmer.
While the broth is simmering, add water to a separate pot and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, cook the wonton noodles for 45 seconds. Drain and set aside.
In the same pot, add bok choy and blanch until tender and crisp. Drain and set aside.
Gently drop your wontons. Cook for about 5 minutes or until they float to the top and are cooked through.
Transfer the noodles, bok choy, and cooked wontons to a bowl. Ladle hot chicken broth into the bowl and top with chopped green onions. Drizzle some chili oil on top if you like spicy. Serve the soup immediately and enjoy!
Notes
I always have my Pork Wontons and Shrimp Wontons in the freezer ready to use. You can make your own wontons or use any store-bought wontons.
