WHAT KIND OF MISO PASTE SHOULD I USE?
Both white and red miso paste will work for this recipe. You can get Miso Paste on Amazon or at your local Asian grocery store. I like using white miso paste because it has a milder flavor profile with a hint of sweetness. Red miso paste is made with higher proportions of soybean, creating a deeper and stronger umami flavors.
INGREDIENTS
- Udon Noodles, I recommend using frozen udon as they are better for stir-fries
- Garlic
- Unsalted butter
- Onion
- Mushroom
- Heavy Cream
- Miso Paste, I recommend using white miso paste as it is milder and works well with the creamy sauce
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Furikake or sesame seeds for garnish
