Description
Beef Pepper Rice is an easy one-pan meal served on a sizzling hot plate that features slices of beef, steamed rice, and a generous amount of black pepper, all topped with corn and savory sauce.

- 300g thinly sliced beef
- 1 large bowl cooked rice
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup canned corn
- 1.5 tbsp butter (unsalted)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 green onion, chopped
Sauce
- 3 clove garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions
- In a small pan, add minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, mirin, and honey. Mix well and simmer until the sauce slightly thickens. Turn off the heat and set it aside .
- Prepare a sizzling hot plate or cast-iron pan. Heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium heat and add sliced onion. Sauté until onions are soft and fragrant.
- Move the onions to the center of the hot plate and place a bowl of cooked rice on top. Arrange the sliced beef around the rice, making sure it’s in direct contact with the hot surface.
- Add corn, chopped green onion, butter, and freshly ground black pepper on top of the rice. Drizzle the sauce over the beef and rice. Give it a good mix and enjoy straight from the hot pan.
