Garlic shrimp fried rice is a delicious dish that combines succulent shrimp with perfectly seasoned rice and vegetables. It is a quick and easy meal that can be whipped up in minutes and tastes so much better than takeout!

Garlic Shrimp Marinade
- 15–20 shrimps, peel and deveined
- 3 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 2 tsp cornstarch
Garlic Fried Rice Ingredients:
- 2 cups day old cold rice
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 5 clove garlic, minced
- 4 green onion, chopped and separate white parts green parts
- 1 cup frozen vegetables
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
Instructions
- In a bowl, add shrimp, garlic, salt, white pepper, and cornstarch. Give it a good mix and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, crack and beat 4 eggs and set them aside.
- In a large pan or wok, add 1 tbsp of oil. Then add marinated shrimp and sauté for a few minutes until the shrimps are pink on both sides. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same pan or wok, heat another 1 tbsp of oil. Add minced garlic and white parts of green onion. Sauté for a minute until fragrant. Pour beaten eggs and scramble for 2-3 minutes until eggs are cooked through.
- Add in frozen vegetables and stir fry for another minute. Then toss in day old rice and return the cooked shrimp to the pan.
- Add soy sauce, salt, white pepper, sugar, and chicken powder. Stir fry for a few minutes until the rice is dry and crispy.
- Throw in the remaining green parts of chopped green onion. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through. Serve hot and enjoy!
