This beef lo mein recipe features tender flank steak stir-fried with fresh vegetables and tossed with chewy lo mein noodles in a savory sauce. This quick and satisfying meal is perfect for busy weeknights and tastes better than your Chinese takeout!

Beef Marinade:
- 16 oz flank steak or sirloin
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Neutral Oil
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
For the Stir-Fry:
- 12 oz Lo Mein Noodles
- Cooking Oil
- 4 clove garlic, minced
- 5-6 pieces napa cabbage, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 4 green onions, cut into 1 inch long pieces
Noodle Sauce:
- 2 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
Instructions
- Thinly slice the beef against the grain and add marinade ingredients as listed. Mix and let it marinate for 15 minutes. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, add noodle sauce ingredients as listed. Mix and set aside.
- Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan or wok, heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil on medium heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add a little more cooking oil. Then toss in garlic and saute for a minute until fragrant. Add onion, napa cabbage, red bell pepper, and green onions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Throw cooked noodles into the pan, along with the prepared noodle sauce. Give it a good mix until the noodles are evenly coated.
- In the end, add the cooked beef and more green onions. Mix everything together until well combined. Serve hot and enjoy!
