INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken Thigh or Chicken Breast
- Soy Sauce
- Mirin
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Brown Sugar
- Cornstarch
- Garnish: Sesame Seeds, Green Onion

HOW TO MAKE TERIYAKI CHICKEN IN THE AIR FRYER?
Prepare Teriyaki Sauce
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well.
Marinate the Chicken
Pour 1/3 of the teriyaki sauce on the chicken thighs. Give it a good mix and let the chicken marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Cook Chicken in the Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 400F.
Place the chicken thighs skin side up in the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes. Take chicken out and brush the chicken skin lightly with some teriyaki sauce. Put it back into the oven and cook for another 5 minutes until the skin turns golden brown.
Thicken the Sauce
While the chicken thighs are in the air fryer, add the remaining teriyaki sauce to a pan and cook over medium. Stir occasionally and let is simmer until the sauce thickens.
Serve
Chop the chicken thigh into slices or cubes. Pour the thickened teriyaki sauce over the chicken. Serve the teriyaki chicken over steamed rice or alongside steamed or sautéed vegetables. Garnish with white sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Enjoy!

- 3–4 chicken thigh or chicken breast
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 3 clove garlic, minced
- 3 tsp ginger, minced
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tsp cornstarch
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, minced garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and cornstarch together.
- In another bowl, add chicken. Then pour 1/3 of the sauce on the chicken. Give it a good mix and let the chicken marinate for at least 1 hour.
