HOW TO MAKE GARLIC SHRIMP FRIED RICE:

Prepare the Shrimp and Eggs

In a bowl, combine shrimps, minced garlic, salt, white pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

In a another bowl, crack and beat 4 eggs and set them aside.

Cook the Shrimp

In a pan or wok, heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook until they turn pink on both sides. Transfer the cooked shrimp to a plate and set them aside.

Sauté garlic, green onions, and eggs

In the same pan, add another 1 tbsp of oil. Add minced garlic and white parts of chopped green onion. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble until they are full cooked.

Combine Everything

Add frozen vegetables and day old rice. Then return the cooked shrimp to the pan.

Add Sauce and Seasoning

Add soy sauce, salt, white pepper, sugar, and chicken powder. Stir fry for a few minutes until the rice is dry and crispy. Add the green parts of chopped green onion. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.

Garlic Shrimp Marinade

  • 1520 shrimps, peel and deveined
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 2 tsp cornstarch

Garlic Fried Rice Ingredients:


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add shrimp, garlic, salt, white pepper, and cornstarch. Give it a good mix and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, crack and beat 4 eggs and set them aside.
  3. In a large pan or wok, add 1 tbsp of oil. Then add marinated shrimp and sauté for a few minutes until the shrimps are pink on both sides. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  4. In the same pan or wok, heat another 1 tbsp of oil. Add minced garlic and white parts of green onion. Sauté for a minute until fragrant. Pour beaten eggs and scramble for 2-3 minutes until eggs are cooked through.
  5. Add in frozen vegetables and stir fry for another minute. Then toss in day old rice and return the cooked shrimp to the pan.
  6. Add soy sauce, salt, white pepper, sugar, and chicken powder. Stir fry for a few minutes until the rice is dry and crispy.
  7. Throw in the remaining green parts of chopped green onion. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through. Serve hot and enjoy!
