Description

Garlic Ginger Bok Choy is packed with aromatic flavors and super easy to make. Quick, healthy, and symbolic for prosperity - it is the perfect side dish you can make under 10 minutes!


Ingredients

  • 2 lb bok choy, cut into half
  • salt
  • 6 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 3 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut bok choy into half. 
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Add bok choy and blanch for 1-2 minutes. Drain and set it aside.
  3. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Mix and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
  5. Arrange the blanched boy choy on a serving plate. Pour the garlic ginger sauce over the bok choy. Serve hot immediately.
